Can you transfer digital games from Switch to Switch?
I'm thinking about getting the Lite every bit I almost play exclusively handheld and "trading-in" my grand series for it. Merely can I transfer my digital game library to the Lite when I get it?

Hadn't considered it; I planned on just deleting all data and profiles later the transfer, if transfer was possible. Just a manufacturing plant reset sounds like an easier way of doing this, so that should probably be the route to take.

Yes. I have two (one for me, one for the kids). You tin can have all of the same games on both, just tin't play them on both at the same time. I recently exchanged my switch for the newer model and it'southward totally possible to but redownload games. Also, if you lot have a Nintendo Online Subscription you tin can backup your saves to the cloud, and redownload those also. Continue in mind, though, that a few games don't back up cloud saves (Splatoon 2 and Pokemon Lets Go are two that I know of).

yep, everything can be transferred. i just got the new switch model recently and everything transferred fine, save data included. if you're able to have both switches at the same time, you lot can locally transfer saves for stuff like splatoon and pokémon let's go (since they don't support cloud saving)

I traded up to the amend battery switch and I deactivated my account and formatted the switch, traded it for the new 1, logged in, and could redownload everything. WORD OF WARNING: You volition lose your pokemon let'south go and Splatoon save files doing it this way. They cannot be cloud saved and I learned the hard manner.

I had a bunch of stuff stolen, including a laptop, headphones etc.... I had a deductible, but I got plenty to replace almost of what was lost.
